The ninth annual San Marino Motor Classic was held Sunday June 9 at Lacey Park in San Marino. This event has grown to be the premier concours in Southern California. They have hosted the Classic Car Club Grand National 5 times as it alternates between East and West coast venues. In addition there is always a good selection of concours quality cars in many classes from European sports cars to American luxury cars. A crowd pleasing display of Citroens were on hand to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Marque. Another special interest group was cars which had appeared in the Tournament of Roses, each with a bouquet of roses and a photo of the car in the parade with the riding dignitaries.
After 12 years in downtown Pasadena the Ferrari Club of America Southwest Region moved their annual Concorso Ferrari to Lacey Park in conjunction with the San Marino Motor Classic. The addition of over 100 Ferraris to the show added some color and excitement to an already highly enjoyable evert.
Cars competed for awards in 41 classes plus 16 special awards. Some of the highlights were:
